Table-top projection

Vertical projection onto a table surface, or using a touch screen (below) can be interesting. I've experimented with mounting camera's, mobile phones, and LCD OR pico projectors to project down onto surfaces, and the light created can make for a stunning visual experience in the right setting.

Alternatively it is possible to use large tablets such as the iPad Pro, or cheaper Android versions, or simpler analogue installations using pen and paper.

Small cheap and durable pico projectors can be used alongside augmented reality and projection mapping to turn board games into a new form of deliberative experience.

This is an example of deliberative furniture, and the aim is to create software to facilitate the production of a series of decentralised events in which the deliberation can be synthesised into podcasts, and performance style live events or conferences.

The integrated vision of this form of decentralised discussion is to create a series of debates around the Worldscape table, using projection mapping to paint the surface of the table in light and video.
